New York Jets special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff will return for the 2012 season, Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger confirms. Westhoff has spent the last 11 seasons with the Jets, who expect him to retire after the 2012 season. Prior to joining the Jets, Westhoff spent 15 seasons with the Miami Dolphins and three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Westhoff is regarded as one of the top special teams coaches in the NFL, his blunt style of coaching was captured during the 2010 edition of HBO's "Hard Knocks". There are more "colorful" clips of Westhoff available on YouTube, but I enjoyed his speech on discouragement. Source: Mac's Football Blog
