The New York Jets have been using Vernon Gholston at defensive end only during offseason workouts. Gholston, a defensive end at Ohio State, was drafted to play rush linebacker in the Jets' 3-4. The signing of Jason Taylor may be a sign the Jets have lost hope for Gholston as a rush linebacker.
