The Detroit Lions re-signed fourth-year linebacker DeAndre Levy to a multi-year deal, Anwar Richardson of Mlive. Terms of Levy's new contract have not been disclosed.

Levy was slated to become an unrestricted free agent next week, but now is the second significant re-signing by the Lions this offseason, Lions offensive tackle Corey Hilliard recently re-signed with the team.

Levy has started in 50 games over the past four seasons since Detroit made him a third-round selection in 2009. He started in 13 of 14 games last season and finished with 82 tackles, three pass breakups and one interception.
