The Lions added a few new faces Wednesday, but Thursday's first free-agent signing will keep a longtime team member in Detroit. The Lions agreed to a one-year contract with long snapper Don Muhlbach on Thursday, according to the team's web site. Muhlbach has been with the Lions since 2004 and went to the Pro Bowl last season. His return provides some stability for a Lions special teams unit that will have a new punter next season. Kicker Jason Hanson has also expressed interest in returning to the team but has yet to come to terms on a new deal. Source: The Detroit News
