The Detroit Lions announced today the signing of veteran offensive tackle Jonathan Scott to a one-year deal on Tuesday. The team released offensive tackle Johnny Culbreath to make room on the 90-man roster for Scott. Scott, 29, began his career with the Lions in 2006 when the team selected him in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. He was waived by the Lions during final cuts before the 2008 season and subsequently signed with the Bills. He spent two years in Buffalo. He then signed with the Steelers in 2010 and started 14 games for them over the last two seasons, including three playoff games.
