I have setup a way for registered members to turn the NFL news ticker at the top of the site on or off. Here are the simple instructions: Step 1: Click on this icon on the NFL News Ticker: Step 2: Join the "Ticker Free GridironFans" usergroup. That's it! Now you can view GridironFans.com without the ticker. You will have to leave the group or log out to see the ticker again.
aw crap. turn off sodev's access to the staff forums. i don't want him to see all the crap i've been saying about him ......... :icon_eek:
Nice option, but I'm one who likes it. In fact, why not get rid of "Latest News And Notes Around The NFL:" in front of the ticker. It just takes up reading space from what's important.
You're right. Then, if possible, hack that part of the banner out to allow for more ticker. At times the titles are so long that only two headlines are currently able to be viewed. [I'm biased because I constantly read the ticker.]
Nice, got it off cause it tends to slow my work computer. Seems to be working a little smoother. Thanks SRW.
I love the ticker. Feel like it does interfere if I am streaming a game on the computer. I'll be interested to try it out when the time comes! Good option!
I have edited the ticker so it reads "Latest NFL News & Notes" and made the ticker wider. Let me know if that is what you had in mind. I would love to hear how that affects your streaming video. Please feel free to post your experience here when you check it out.
This. I tried it for 2-3 days just to try it and then turned it back on. I missed the look of it too, but I missed the black button more. Great option though. Always good to have more options.
That small change made a big difference, Steve. Now almost 3 headlines are available, depending on length of title. Great!
Best way to go to latest news and notes from this page http://gridironfans.com/forums/ with ticker (black button) turned off? What method do you take?
