New Orleans Pelicans second-year backup forward Darius Miller could miss up to 12 weeks after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot that required surgery, the team announced Monday. Miller, 6 feet 8, 235 pounds, had been experiencing discomfort in his foot during recent volunteer workouts before team doctors diagnosed the injury. Although he is set to begin rehabilitation work in New Orleans on Tuesday, Miller is expected to miss all of training camp that is set to begin on Oct. 1. As a rookie last season, Miller played in 52 games and averaged 2.3 points. Last season, Miller was the only New Orleans player on the roster to draw a NBA Development League assignment.
