10 games should get you in in the NFC also this year. green bay and the 2nd place team from the nfc east should be the wild cards and both should get to 10 wins. 9 wins may even make it for the 6th spot.
that's probably pretty accurate assuming the eagles win their match-ups against the cowboys and giants.
So you think Dallas wins the NFC East? Certainly possible, but their schedule is brutal. I think the Eagles have the best shot at the division at this point, but not saying they take it. It will be easier to read next week.
Division leaders: 1. y-Saints - 13-0 2. x-Vikings - 11-2 3. Eagles - 9-4 4. Cardinals - 8-4 Wild Card: 5. Packers - 9-4 6. Cowboys - 8-5 On the bubble: 7. Giants - 7-6 Still in it: 8. Falcons - 6-7 9. 49ers - 5-7 Mathematically eliminated: 10. Panthers - 5-8 11. Bears - 5-8 12. Seahawks - 5-8 13. Redskins - 4-9 14. Lions - 2-11 15. Buccaneers - 1-12 16. Rams - 1-12 x - clinched playoff spot y - clinched first round bye Key week 16 NFC matchups with playoff implications: Cowboys at Saints, 49ers at Eagles Explanation: http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures
It's going to be Dallas or New York. Atlanta has a chance to win out and go 9-7, they don't have that hard of a schedule on their plate (@ NYJ, v. BUF, @ TB), even if they do, they have losses to both NYG and DAL, that would effectively put them out unless somehow Dallas and New York finish 8-8. Dallas would have to lose all three games to miss, which is possible, with the only game they're favored to win being at Washington. New York has to win out and have help in the form of Dallas losing 2 of their last three. Based on the scenarios and the way these teams are playing, I honestly believe the Giants have the last spot. Dallas will probably continue the December slump (can't really call it that this seaosn, as they've played well these past two games, they've been playing good teams), and end 9-7. The Giants will probably finish 9-7 as well, more than likely beating the Skins and boasting a 4-2 division record, enough to break the tie over Dallas. San Francisco won't win out.

That is not accurate. The Giants do not have to win out, nor do they need Dallas to lose 2 of 3 for the Giants to make the playoffs. We need to gain one game on Dallas through the last 3... whether that be winning out with a Dallas loss, or going 2-1 with Dallas going 1-2. Again, the division record doesn't matter since we beat them twice already in head to head match-ups. Anyone, do the 49ers hold a tie breaker over the Giants? As AB said, Atlanta doesn't.
Eagles win 2 of 3 and Dallas losses 1 of 3 Eagles win the NFC East Eagles have 2 of those 3 in Philly Dallas has the other 2 away from Texas Stadium EAGLES WILL WIN THE EAST LIKE I SAID
seasons not over yet....... might seem like an easy schedual but weird upsets have happened this year........ Raiders took the Eagles...... dont put it past buffalo or the jets to just lay down and roll over.......Even TB has had some good games...... Don't jinx it lol
Forgot the Giants swept Dallas. That makes it pretty much certain that they'll get that final spot as long as they finish at least 9-7
niners hold tiebreaker. they have the same conference record. 49ers have 2-1 record in common opponents vs. giants' 1-1 record.
