The deadline for franchise tag players to sign new contracts is 4pm ET today. The Cowboys won't get a new deal worked out with defensive end Anthony Spencer by the deadline, as expected, Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports. This according to a source. The Cowboys and Spencer's agent, Jordan Woy, had worked on a new deal for most of the summer but suspended talks in late June. Spencer will be paid $10.6 million this season. Source: The Redzone
