The Carolina Panthers endured a scary moment near the end of the first half of Sunday night’s game with the New York Jets. Running back Jonathan Stewart was carted off to the locker room with what appeared to be a lower-leg injury. The injury came on a Stewart run on the final play before the two-minute warning. The Panthers signed Stewart to a five-year contract extension earlier this preseason. There is no official word yet on the extent of Stewart’s injury. Source: ESPN.com
