The Panthers have announced they’ve made a move at defensive tackle, signing free agent Dwan Edwards and waiving last year’s third-round draft pick Terrell McClain. Edwards played the last two seasons with the Buffalo Bills after spending six years with the Baltimore Ravens. Sunday’s announcement to waive McClain comes as a surprise. He started 12 games last season as rookie after being selected 65th overall by the Panthers (No. 20 in the AP Pro32). He’s the latest third-round draft pick to fail with the Panthers, joining former defensive tackles Corvey Irvin and Atiyyah Ellison and running back Eric Shelton as busts. Source: Associated Press
