Considering the way the Patriots run their personnel operation, this would qualify as news. According to a Cleveland radio station, former Browns general manager Michael Lombardi, who worked with Patriots coach Bill Belichick in Cleveland, is likely to be coming to New England to join the Patriots' front office. Chris Fedor of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland tweeted that it was looking like Lombardi, fired in Cleveland on Monday, would reunite with Belichick, who coached the Browns from 1991-95. It is uncertain what role Lombardi would play with the Pats. ... Fedor's colleague, Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan, and Mike Loyko of NEPatriotsDraft.com are also reporting that Lombardi is expected to join the Patriots. Nick Caserio is the Pats' director of player personnel.
