Patriots defensive lineman Armond Armstead underwent surgery to deal with an infection, the team announced. Armstead is on the non-football illness list. "Armond Armstead had surgery to treat an infection," the Patriots said in a statement. "Armond is in good condition and is expected to make a full recovery. A timetable has not been set for his return to football.†Armstead had a heart attack at USC, but Patriots coach Bill Belichick indicated this is unrelated to that episode. “I think it’s a different situation,†Belichick said.
