Add another measurable for future NFL prospects -- number of tweets. The New England Patriots, according to ESPNBoston.com, spent part of their draft preparations following prospective players on Twitter to find out if they were too consumed with social media. Rashard Mendenhall, Reggie Bush and Tashard Choice have been in the news recently clarifying -- even apologizing -- for recent comments made via Twitter. Chad Ochocinco is approaching two million followers and last month was named as CNBC's most influential athlete in social media. It's likely idle time created by the league's lockout has something to do with the rise in players' tweets and extra attention paid to them but leave it to the Patriots for trying to figure out how to turn it into their advantage.
