Oakland Raiders middle linebacker Rolando McClain has been slowed by a nagging knee and ankle injuries during his first two seasons in the NFL, so the former Alabama standout has undergone stem cell injection therapy from Gulf Shores radiologist James Williams, Casandra Andrews of the Press-Register reports. "It feels a lot better," McClain said of the therapy, which costs $15,000 and is not covered by medical insurance Williams' process involves performing liposuction from the patient, processing the fat tissue into adult stem cells and injecting those cells into the exact location of the injury. The time between processing the tissue into stem cells and injecting them back into the patient is two hours. "This is going to be the future of medicine," said Williams. In 30 games since being selected with the eighth overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, McClain has totaled 184 tackles, 5.5 sacks, one interception and has 20 passes defensed.

Alot of athletes are doing the stem cell therapy and swear by it. Tiger Woods had it done on his hurt knee.
