Matt Schaub and Mark Sanchez are the two top targets for the Raiders in their quest to add a veteran quarterback. That’s the word from Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com, who reports that Schaub tops the Raiders’ list and Sanchez is next. Unfortunately for the Raiders, Schaub is still under contract to the Texans and Sanchez is still under contract to the Jets. It’s been widely expected that both quarterbacks would be cut early in the offseason, but both teams might decide that they’d rather hold onto their veteran quarterbacks and see if they have any trade value. If the Raiders want Schaub or Sanchez, they might have to give a draft pick to the Texans or Jets. Source: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ers-top-quarterback-target-mark-sanchez-next/
McGloin did fairley well for the Raiders when he was in there...if I'm them, I ride it out another season to see if he might be an unpolished diamond. The guy threw for 1600 +/- yards in 7 games last year...8 TDs, 8 INT's. Not terrible for a QB with Oaklands "weapons."
They may be able to talk trade with O'Brien in Houston. He did have McGloin at Penn State and he did take him from a terrible QB and turn him into a decent QB on one season...
if they want sanchez or schaub, they must plan on tanking every game next year.why don't they get some decent Olinemen and give the young guys on offense a chance?
You might think...at the same time, McGloin wasn't terrible as a QB and actually decent if he gets his TD/INT ratio down...
