Raiders RB Darren McFadden To Play A Big Role In Passing Game

For the most part, the Darren McFadden who took the field for the Raiders as a rookie was a shell of himself. The explosion is back, and the things McFadden ought to be able to accomplish catching passes out of the backfield and in the slot should give the Raiders something to hang their hat on in the passing game until the deep game comes around. McFadden and Michael Bush, who looks imposing and swift in no-contact situations, give the Raiders two backs who can do some real damage in the passing game.

Unless he's taking the QB starting gig away from JaBustus, I don't see it happening.

Relatively. He was a good Wildcat back in college, one of the few who can succeed in the NFL running it. I'm excited to see what he can bring to the table.

If he can catch and make yards after contact that will suck butt for the Chiefs.

We are moving slow linemen to LB.

He had almost as many catches (29) and yards (285) in his rookie year (13 games) as he did in 3 great years of college (46/365). So no one really knows, but there doesn't seem to be any reason he shouldn't excel at catching.

if he can get some catches out of the backfield that will be his best chance to get into open space and use his speed burners
