Second-year defensive end Pernell McPhee, who has been sidelined since organized team activities with a knee injury, returned to the practice field on Wednesday, his first full-participation practice of Ravens training camp. McPhee will compete with third-year player Arthur Jones to replace the departed Cory Redding at defensive end. Returning to practice after sitting out Tuesday were defensive tackle Ma'ake Kemoeatu and wide receiver Tommy Streeter. A half hour into practice, there was no sign of center Matt Birk, offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata. Birk has now missed three straight practices and McKinnie and Ngata have yet to practice.
