Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is likely to miss six to eight weeks with a partial hamstring tear. He had an MRI exam Tuesday afternoon. "Looking forward to getting healthy and being back on the field ASAP," Longoria said via his Twitter account. Rays executive VP Andrew Friedman said the best case is that Longoria would be healthy in four weeks and be able to return after a couple of weeks of rehab. "He's been a very good healer over time," Friedman said. "He's come back from things a little faster than we've anticipated in the past. So that factors in as well. But we'll see what happens.'' The Rays are exploring interim options at third base but might not make a roster move Tuesday. Source Tampa Bay Times
