The Washington Redskins are set to sign free agent cornerback Leigh Torrence to an undisclosed contract, the team's official Twitter page announced. Undrafted out of Stanford in 2005, Torrence was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers before joining the Atlanta Falcons, where he appeared in 10 games as a rookie. Released at the end of the 2006 training camp, Torrence joined the Redskins in the final week of the regular season. Torrence started one of 25 games for the Redskins over the 2007 and 2008 seasons, totaling 59 tackles and a sack before signing with the Saints as a restricted free agent in 2009. In 38 games over the last four seasons in New Orleans, Torrence has 66 tackles, 2.5 sacks and his two career interceptions, including one he returned 42 yards for a touchdown in a 62-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts last October.
