The New Orleans Saints have cut defensive tackle Mitch King, according to a league source. King has cleared waivers and is now an unrestricted free agent. King, 26, is a former Iowa player who has played for the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and the St. Louis Rams. He has six career tackles, including three in three games last season for New Orleans. The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder was an All-Big Ten Conference defensive lineman who played in the Senior Bowl.
