The Seahawks agreed to terms on a deal with free agent offensive lineman Frank Omiyale, the team announced Wednesday. Omiyale, who was released by Chicago on March 1, has played both tackle and guard during his seven-year career, and was brought in for a visit by Seattle earlier this month. Omiyale, 29, started his career in Atlanta as a fifth-round pick, and also spent time in Carolina before signing with the Bears in 2009. With Chicago, Omiyale started 12 games at left guard in 2009, then started all 16 games in 2010 at both tackle positions. Last year, however, Omiyale played primarily in a backup role.
