Seahawks Hire Tom Cable As Offensive Line Coach, Assistant Head Coach

  1. The Seattle Seahawks have announced the hiring of assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tom Cable. Cable is a longtime offensive line coach in the NFL, and is a disciple of Alex Gibbs, who abruptly retired as Seahawks offensive line coach before the start of the the 2010 season. Cable has spent the past 2+ seasons as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, who opted to not pick up a two-year option on Cable's contract earlier this month. In addition to Cable, the Seahawks announced that they have hired Todd Wash to coach the defensive line. The Seahawks also announced that assistant defensive backs coach Kris Richard and Rocky Seto will replace Jerry Gray, who is leaving as secondary coach for the same position at his alma mater, the University of Texas.
