The Seattle Seahawks have placed offensive tackle Tyler Polumbus on waivers, Curtis Crabtree of 950-KJR reports. Acquired in a trade with the Detroit Lions last August, Polumbus started seven of 15 games for the Seahawks in 2010, making starts at both tackle spots and left guard. Polumbus started both Seattle's playoff games at left guard and received an "Original Round" restricted free agent tender worth $1.2 million in non-guaranteed base salary in 2011. Polumbus started three preseason games at left tackle in place of an injured Russell Okung, but has only played a handful of snaps (7) at left tackle and right tackle in five games this season.
