Lawyer Milloy, 36, said he was driven to come back for his 15th NFL season by one thing – he didn’t want to go through another experience like last year, relegated to a part-time role and playing special teams for the first time in his NFL career. After starting 15 games while leading the Atlanta Falcons to the playoffs in 2008, Milloy finished 2009 with a career-low 27 tackles for Seattle. “Last year, to put it bluntly, I didn’t like it,†Milloy said. “I didn’t like the role that I was put in. It was really mapped out to me clearly, but I really didn’t hear it. And given that, I don’t know if I would have signed on the paper if I knew my role was going to be completely like it was last year, because I wasn’t ready individually. I wasn’t ready to give up a chance to be in a leadership role, to be on the field leading a team.â€
