Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw the ball Monday for the first time since sustaining his rib injury and has a chance of playing at the Ravens on Sunday.

"He'll take steps maybe toward playing this week," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "We'll leave the door open for him. He's got a chance."

Tomlin said that the Steelers are proceeding this week with Charlie Batch as the starting quarterback and are tailoring the game plan around him. But Tomlin did indicate that plan could change in the latter part of the week.

Tomlin couldn't give much specifics about Roethlisberger's workout because he didn't see it.

"I was just informed that he threw and it was a step in the right direction," he said. "We'll continue with those steps as we proceed throughout the week and we'll let the results of that work lead us into the direction that we could potentially go."

The Steelers are 0-5 against the Ravens without Roethlisberger since 2005.

Either way, I think the Ravens win this game. It's gonna be more or less about the last 4 games for the Steelers. They run the table and they have a great chance at a WC spot.
