Shortly after being activated from the physically unable to perform list Wednesday, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster insisted he didn't need to see preseason action to be ready for the season opener.

All signs continue to be positive for the three-time Pro Bowler, who turned in a full practice Friday.

"He took all the scout team," coach Gary Kubiak said, via the team's official website. "He took the whole practice. He took every rep."

Although Foster has dealt with a calf strain and taken injections for back pain, he's turned a corner this week. According to Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com, the Texans are privately "pleased with where he is now after some concern in the past."

The coaching staff has promised to utilize backup Ben Tate more this season to keep Foster fresh.
