The Texans plan to give reserve running back Deji Karim a larger role in the team's second preseason game Saturday against the Dolphins, as they try to figure out the depth chart behind Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

"I'll just say that (No.) 39 is really practicing well," head coach Gary Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle Wednesday. "We want to see him more this week and obviously want to continue to see Dennis (Johnson) and Cierre (Wood), and (Ray) Graham comes in and does a good job. I think one of the things about this week is we want to see 39, Deji, play a little bit more and we want to take a look at him."

Karim is in his fourth NFL season, having rushed for 290 yards on 98 carries between Jacksonville and Indianapolis.
