The Texans have reached contract agreements with former Dallas cornerback Alan Ball. Ball, who played five seasons for the Cowboys, will be reunited with his former Dallas coach, Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. Ball, who also played safety for the Cowboys, started two games in 2011 after starting 16 in 2010. The Texans’ first three cornerbacks are set – Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson as starters and Brice McCain as the nickel. Ball, 6-2, 197, will compete for playing time with veterans Sherrick McManis, Brandon Harris and Roc Carmichael. Source: Houston Chronicle
