Now that the Texans have signed Bernard Pollard and DeMeco Ryans, they can turn their attention to TE Owen Daniels after he completes his rehabilitation and is 100 percent after undergoing knee surgery. Daniels doesn't expect to sign a new contract until he shows the Texans he's 100 percent, which probably will be in preseason. Unlike before when Daniels was fired up about his unsettled contract situation, this time he seems fairly content. “They put that max tender on me again and I looked at it as a positive thing because if they didn’t really want me around or they saw a future in somebody else, they could have tendered me at a much lower level and let me go and just see what happened from there," Daniels said. " But that first and third (tender) indicated that they want me around for sure. So I’m happy about it.â€￾
