Woodstock was ten years before I was born but I have known and worked with people before who say they were there. They said it was the best time of their life.

I didn't see Green Day. I watched a different band on another stage. I don't recall who it was.

Looking at the stage sets on wikipedia, looks like it was Porno For Pyros we chose to watch instead. A decision I would make again. I like Green Day...but Perry Ferrell....

yeah,it could never really happen again like it did then! they tried one in 1994 that had decent music though! i have a friend who went to the 69 woodstock.he told me there were people going around with squirtguns filled with lsd and there was hardly no NON takers at 50 cent for a double shot of it!

I love me some concerts. should be a rite of passage for young males and hot girls. reminds me of when I went to the Texas Jam in '88. Kingdom Come opened. Then some other band I just can't remember who. Then Metallica, Scorpions and Van Hagar. It was so damn hot. A hot chick 6 rows below me had on a tank top which she cut the sides off and it was like a poncho. No bra. No wonder I don't know who the second band was. When Metallica came on my hit of X kicked in and it was all gravy.

Has anyone else seen the documentary Dear Zachary? Holy crap is it powerful. It's heartbreaking, angering, uplifting, and pretty much every other emotion too. Don't read about it, just watch it so you are hit with its impact without an airbag. This one is gonna stick with me for a long time.

Today is the 45th anniversary of Woodstock.

Speaking of that, last Sunday morning, I was listening to a syndicated radio music program called In The Studio. Thia is a program where, each week, they take a famous rock album in history and celebrate the anniversary of its release. Last Sunday, the program started a two-part series on Woodstock, which, I believe, just released a Blu-Ray version of the concert.

Anyway, one of the many stories they mentioned on this radio program was about Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young. Woodstock was only the second time they had played in front of people before.

i knew they had not played in front of a crowd before but forgotten it was just the 2nd time they played together. in my view, neil young never really fit in with them.
of all the great rock festivals, everybody always remembers woodstock over all the others.must have been great to have been there.

I only tripped a few times, but all of my experiences were life affirming. I found beauty in everything around me. Music and friendships were especially heightened. I sound like a dirty hippy.
