The Eagles have plenty of practice at facing top WR duos, results are a mixed bag - JimmyK, Philly.com
With the Bears coming to town Sunday night, the Eagles' focus defensively will likely be on the Bears' WR duo of Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, who have combined this season for 170 catches, 2450 yards, and 17 TDs. Statistically, it is the top WR duo in the NFL. While Marshall and Jeffery have put up monster numbers, it won't be the first talented WR duo the Eagles have faced this season. In fact, if you exclude the Eagles' WR duo of DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper, the Eagles have already faced, or will face, the top 8 WR duos in the NFC. Jackson and Cooper would be 2nd, just FYI, with 116-2018-16. Interestingly, the Eagles only faced one of the bottom 7 WR duos in the NFC, which happens to be the Vikings, who shredded the Eagles.

Lesson Time - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
One of the benefits to last Sunday’s butt-kicking is that we got to see the Eagles play from behind. We saw Michael Vick do that vs KC and Denver. We saw Foles/Barkley/Vick do that vs Dallas and the Giants. But that was before the team started winning games and playing good football. Sunday was a new experience for the winning Eagles. They suddenly found themselves as the hunters and not the hunted.

Eagle Eye In The Sky: Bears Preview - Fran Duffy, PE.com
Sunday’s game is going to be an incredible test for the Philadelphia Eagles for a number of reasons. The Chicago Bears offense is as formidable an offensive attack as they’ve seen all season long, and that includes their Week 4 matchup against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Obviously, a lot of the talk has circled around the dynamic duo of Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Both of them are big receivers who can get down the field and win every jump ball thrown in their direction. To kick off this piece, however, I want to take a look at how they impact the running game. The Bears are 13th in the NFL in rushing yards per game, 8th in rushing yards per play, and with the ever versatile Matt Forte coming out of the backfield, they will always be a threat on the ground.

Foles not fazed by higher expectations - Zach Berman, Inquirer
There was a time earlier this season when a bad game by Nick Foles included just 11 completions and 80 yards. When the second-year Eagles quarterback now talks about a performance considered inconsistent, it's one with a career-high 428 yards and three touchdown passes. For evidence of how the perception of Foles has changed, just look at how the expectations have changed. A five-game winning streak with an abundance of scoring and scarcity of turnovers can do that.

Inside Voices: The Value Of Avant - Tim McManus, Birds 24/7
At first glance, it looked like DeSean Jackson was screaming at Jason Avant. The wide receiver was overheating on the sidelines after a Nick Foles interception in Minnesota Sunday. Jackson was being restrained as he barked in the direction of Avant just a few yards away. Turns out, his words were aimed at receivers coach Bob Bicknell; Avant was just moving in to gain control. And that’s exactly what he did. After a quiet moment of counsel with Avant away from the rest of the team, Jackson hopped to his feet and returned to the pack without further incident.

Happy Birthday, Reggie - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Reggie gave me a lifetime of memories, even though I only watched him as an Eagle for a few years. 1992 was the first year I got to watch Reggie play almost every Sunday. He "only" had 14 sacks that year. That statement really puts him into perspective, doesn’t it? White got a safety in the playoff win over the Saints and his celebration of that is my favorite all-time Eagles moment. There is such joy, both in his huge smile and in the bounce in his step. That was just a Wild Card win, but it felt like the Super Bowl to a team that hadn’t won in the postseason in more than a decade. I was absolutely desperate for Gang Green to win big in the postseason.
