The Tennessee Titans will guarantee the base salary of safety Michael Griffin, coach Mike Munchak confirmed on Thursday afternoon. Griffin got a five-year, $36 million package, but it too contained an opt out provision for the Titans if they had released him by today to avoid paying a $3.5 million guaranteed base salary.
