Veteran Safety Deon Grant Retires As A Giant

    Deon Grant is hanging up his cleats.

    The veteran safety is retiring as a New York Giant where he finished his career in 2011.

    ‘I want to retire as a Giant,â€￾ Grant said in a statement. "I want to be a Giant for the rest of my life.â€￾

    Grant also played for the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks.

    In 2010 and 2011 with the Giants, Grant recorded 101 tackles, four interceptions and two sacks.

    A former second-round draft pick, Grant didn't play in the NFL last season, after sitting out a year, Grant has decided to retire.
