Sharrif Floyd likely will miss the rest of preseason after undergoing a "minor procedure" on his left knee.

Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier made the announcement on Monday. The team expects Floyd, the 23rd overall pick in April's draft, to be ready for the start of the regular season.

"I don't think he'll practice until next week," Frazier said, according to The Star Tribune. "It's nothing major. He shouldn't miss any time, as far as our regular season is concerned. He won't play this week (at San Francisco) and probably not in the Tennessee game (next week)."

Floyd was injured in the second quarter of the Vikings' preseason opener. An MRI revealed no structural damage.
