The Vikings made a roster move on Monday, waiving injured DB Nick Taylor and signing DB Chris Stroud from Webber International. Taylor injured his shoulder last Friday, the first day of practice, and had an MRI over the weekend, coach Leslie Frazier said on Monday that Taylor was waived and that the team hoped to bring him back on injured reserved if he cleared waivers. “He tore the labrum, and it's going to require major surgery and take him out three to four months,â€￾ Frazier said. Stroud, was one of the players the Vikings had worked out after practice on Saturday, but it wasn't the first time they had seen him. “We had him back in the rookie minicamp, where he worked out for us there,â€￾ Frazier said. “He did a pretty good job in those three days, we just didn't have any room for him. We wanted to bring him back and see what kind of condition he was in, and he showed well in that workout that we put him through.â€￾ With rookie DB Josh Robinson still day-to-day with a hamstring injury, Stroud may find that he could receive reps immediately.
