Week 7 gave us many upsets. How does the formula think it all plays out? This mathematical formula utilizes the following factors to rank all 32 NFL teams:

     Wins
     Losses
     Strength of Opponent
     Home Field Advantage
     Margin of Victory
     Yards gained
     Yards allowed

#1 Jets (5-1) 48.58 -- Can all of their personalities continue to mesh for another 3+ months and win it all?

#2 Steelers (5-1) 45.51 -- Defense not looking as dominant their last few games. Will they turn it back on in January?

#3 Giants (5-2) 40.59 -- People are underestimating this team.

    #4 Colts (4-2) 36.24 -- Will they keep their 12-win streak going?

#5 Titans (5-2) 28.08 -- Too bad they have to play AFC teams

#6 Falcons (5-2) 21.68 -- Lots of questions on defense still

    #7 Ravens (5-2) 20.50 -- The Bills? Seriously?

#8 Packers (4-3) 18.04 -- May end up winning the NFCN by default

#9 Chiefs (4-2) 16.40 -- May end up winning the AFCW by default

#10 Patriots (5-1) 11.89 -- Defense is playing better than I thought they would. They've got a chance.

#11 Chargers (2-5) 10.25 -- Can beat anyone in the league. Can lose to anyone in the league.

#12 Eagles (4-3) 8.20 -- Defense is not playing as well as I thought they would.

    #13 Bengals (2-4) 7.17 -- See Eagles

    #14 Saints (4-3) 6.15 -- Why? Just Why?

#15 Redskins (4-3) 4.30 -- They are not very good but they don't give up.

#16 Bears (4-3) 3.81 -- Starting to show their true colors. Teams are figuring them out.

#17 Seahawks (4-2) 3.69 -- Most consistent team in the NFCW.

#18 Buccaneers (4-2) 0.62 -- Scrappy team. May make the playoffs which would be a huge accomplishment.

#19 Dolphins (3-3) -0.41 -- Can they play all their games on the road?

    #20 Texans (4-2) -3.90 -- Is their swagger back?

    #21 Cowboys (1-5) -4.51 -- NOW they are done

#22 Raiders (3-4) -10.25 -- Only team that can challenge the Chiefs in the AFCW?

#23 Lions (1-5) -11.28 -- Still not sold that their defense is legit

#24 Browns (2-5) -13.12 -- Have been competitive all year. Now starting to get some wins.

#25 Rams (3-4) -16.19 -- Much improved but still not quite there

#26 Vikings (2-4) -20.29 -- Getting close to having the fork stuck in them too

    #27 49ers (1-6) -20.50 -- Who would've guessed they would have been this bad

#28 Cardinals (3-3) -26.24 -- Not a good team. Lucked into a couple of wins.

    #29 Broncos (2-5) -26.65 -- wtf was that?

#30 Jaguars (3-4) -31.98 -- This team is better than I thought they would be but remain inconsistent

#31 Panthers (1-5) -48.58 -- That was their best chance for a win this year

#32 Bills (0-6) -48.79 -- Sunday showed this team will get a win or 2 this season

if the Giants get these turnover-itis problems under control, they will be sitting at number 1.

  3. Word.

    But dude....21?

The Bills put more of a fight against Baltimore than the Cowboys did last night. I'd put them around 27-29. They are done....that's the one thing we agree on though.

  4. The Chargers.......11th?

Okay....that's totally insane man. They stink....the Cowboys stink.

I'm sorry...but I don't care what kind of formula you use..no way in HELL the Chargers should be that high with only 2 wins...no way.

Good stuff, i think if the Giants clean up the turnovers they could beat anybody in football. Perfect assessment of the Chargers, they need to get Matthews and the run game going so they can condense games so that they can get out of their own way lol.

  11. Turnover's is probably our only weakness right now......but some of the more prolific offenses in league history were near the top of turning the ball over.

But this is something that needs to be adjusted during the off week.

yea the Chargers are 2-5 but look at everything else +28 in point differential (9th), #1 in offensive yards, 7th in points, #1 in defensive yards, 16th in points. That's why they're ranked so high. Remember this is a power ranking not the standings.

In mine they're 8th, although in my adjusted rankings (that take win/loss percentage into account) they drop to 12th.

After watching the Pats/Chargers game, San Diego is WAY better than their record. Just how can this team be 2-5? That just ain't right.

Way too many mistakes. Awful STs killed us early on and we've lost at least 1 fumble in every game but 1. You saw how many dumbass mistakes we made against you guys. It's like we heck around in the 1st half then in the 2nd half we're like 'oh crap we're going to lose', then fall just short at the end.

I'm sure it's pretty obvious to you and fellow Charger fans, but Norv just has to go. He is a royal screw up and can't get all of that talent to perform at a fundamentally sound level. I don't care how great any team is or the stats they put up, if you turn it over as much as the Chargers do and play such sloppy special teams, you're going to lose.

As a fan you must be totally pissed. Your team should run away with the division, and make a run in the Playoffs. You played us as good as anyone we played this year, except for all the heck ups from turnovers to penaltys. Good luck the rest of the year.

  19. KC over the G-Men....your joking right? lol

Although they are clearly more superior than San Diego.
