WR Derrick Mason, 37, announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday after 15 seasons and 943 receptions. During the 2011 season, the veteran was cut by the Baltimore Ravens, traded by the New York Jets and released by the Houston Texans. "I'm done," Mason told Scout.com. "I won't be playing football. I leave it healthy and able to run and walk and not take a half-hour or 45 minutes to get out of bed. Me leaving now, even though it didn't happen the way I wanted it to happen, I had a good run."
