Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes in an awesome Street Fight following a hanging DDT on the outside off the barricade to the floor and then an RKO inside the ring. This was a great brawl through the crowd with Rhodes’ mask being used as a weapon. Orton bagged Rhodes after.

    Ted DiBiase defeated Tyson Kidd

World champion Mark Henry was interviewed backstage. He began bullying Daniel Bryan, mocking his Money In The Bank briefcase, saying Bryan could never beat him. He challenged Bryan to wrestle him tonight and Bryan accepted.

    Alicia Fox pinned Natalya.

Big Show comes out and says he’s going to knock out Mark Henry once for every week of Smackdown where their business goes unfinished. Christian comes out and says Show had his chance and failed. He insults the South (Show is originally from Aiken, SC). Show acts like he was going to KO Christian, then promises he won’t. Instead he chokeslams him and leaves him laying.

Sheamus comes out for his scheduled match against Christian but he’s out from the chokeslam. Wade Barrett comes out and offers to replace him and they ring the bell.

After a break, we see Sheamus brawling backstage with Christian and Barrett until they are all separated by security.

Backstage, Big Show tells Daniel Bryan to take special care of his briefcase, because Show will be in his corner tonight against Mark Henry.

Sin Cara vs. the debuting Epico from WWE developmental. Hunico interferes and they double team Cara. They nailed a double team move but messed it up and did it again. That’ll be edited.

World champion Mark Henry defeated Daniel Bryan by DQ when Big Show interfered and knocked out Henry. Bryan acts like he might cash in but is nailed by Henry and hit with the World’s Strongest Slam. Henry nailed Show with the briefcase. No cashing in. Afterward, Teddy Long announced Show vs. Henry for Survivor Series and we end with a staredown.

Great Smackdown last night that I benefitted from watching on my DVR because the live telecast must have killed people with the commercial breaks. The Orton/Rhodes match was very good and I think even helped elevate Rhodes more. He needs to cut out the cheesy part of his act and start to show more of a ruthless aggression. Him being able to match Orton's intensity for the whole match and the build to the finish was well done. Seems like the only thing that can hold Rhodes back is the cheese in his gimmick, those bony legs and adding some bulk that we know Vince loves.

I popped for the Bryan/Henry build up and match. If they want to do Wrestlemania right they need to have Henry plow through everyone until then and then have Bryan vs Henry. It's a classic David vs Goliath story that could make some money. Seeing how Bryan and Henry could actually work in the ring sealed the deal for me. Bryan is as good as it gets in the ring and Henry has learned how to work within his limitations and come off as a complete monster. Henry's been money on the mic and Bryan is no slouch on the stick when given a chance. Only problem I had with this last night was the Big Show's involvement. I get it furthers the storyline with Henry but he has got to cut out the bad comedy and just be a pissed off giant. They'll still cheer for you Show.

I also enjoyed the Wade Barrett match vs Sheamus. Barrett really put on a good show hanging tough with Sheamus in the ring and even though they gave him the win with a cheap finish he still walked out looking like he climbed the rung in the WWE. Sheamus has been built up as a no-selling face and Barrett was laying some moves in that made Sheamus look vulnerable for a change.

Sin Cara is in total limbo. He's to blame though because he's botching moves left and right and they can't trust him on live TV right now. The edits on Smackdown are too obvious sometimes.

Lastly, Alicia Fox needs to go. She can't work a damn, can't talk and frankly I don't find her attractive, especially whatever her new look is. How this waste is on the roster is still around and Maryse is not is beyond me.

Taping Date: 11/8/11 - Air Date: 11/11/11 - Echo Arena in Liverpool, England

Randy Orton opens the show and talks about the 5-on-5 elimination match. Wade Barrett comes out and says his team will be the victors at Survivor Series.

Christian comes out in a neck brace. They beat Orton down which brings out Sheamus to make the save. Teddy Long interrupts and makes Sheamus vs. Christian and Orton vs. Barrett for tonight.

Sheamus beat Christian with the Celtic Cross. Another good match between the two. One sweet spot was when Christian jumped out of the ring, got caught by Sheamus, who rammed him into the barricade.

Daniel Bryan was talking backstage with A.J. and Kaitlyn about he almost cashed MiTB last week. Mark Henry turned up and said how dare Bryan almost cash it in. He said Bryan had guts but he will spill them later tonight in their match.

A promo package for Ezekiel Jackson was shown.

A Teddy Long and Aksana backstage segment occurred. Alicia Fox was involved.

Ted DiBiase beat Jinder Mahal. Jinder didn’t even get an entrance. Ted won quickly. Squash match.

Mark Henry beat Daniel Bryan. Henry won with the World’s Strongest Slam. After the match, Henry got the chair meaning to break his leg, but Bryan got the chair and hit Henry with it. Henry no sold and gave him the World’s Strongest Slam several times. He put him in the corner with the chair on his leg, but Big Show made the save. Henry kept Show out of the ring, and hit Bryan on the back with the chair. Show stood on the apron and the two had a stare off until henry got out of the ring. Show got in, tossed the world championship back to Henry, then got on the mic to trash him.

Big Show defeated three enhancement wrestlers. Henry then trashed him from the ramp. Henry did say he has impressed everyone and he will beat Show at Survivor Series and leave him with a lasting impression.

Alicia Fox beat Tamina. Natalya was on commentary.

There was a bit with Sheamus and Matt Striker talking about Sheamus’s temper.

Hunico and Epico beat The Uso Twins. After the match, the Mexicans triple beat on The Uso’s, including a sweet triple finisher.

Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton. Orton went for the RKO and Barrett avoided it. Barrett won with a thumb to the eye and a roll up. Good match.

This is the show to be watching right now. Mark Henry has gone from being a jobber to the stars to the best thing on WWE TV for a while. Now they are building up the mid card with Bryan and Wade Barrett. Good stuff of late from the blue brand.

Backstage Ted DiBiase was playing WWE12 with Hornswoggle. Teddy Long came in with Aksana. Long was falling all over her.

Christian came to the stage with a neck brace, boot, and crutch. He complained a lot and said even though he can’t wrestle at Survivor Series, he’ll be there to inspire Team Barrett. Due to his injuries and the uncertainty that his career holds, his dream is to wrestle at leaset one more match. He got a lot of heat and then said good riddance and walked off stage.

There was a backstage segment with Big Show and AJ cfreaking on Daniel Bryan in the trainers room.

Ted DiBiase defeated Derek Bateman with Dream Street.

Big Show was shown backstage looking for Mark Henry. Jinder Mahal and Tyson Kidd said he wasn’t around. Mahal said something in Punjabi. Show asked Kidd if he understood what Mahal said. Taping Date: 11/22/11 - Air Date: 11/25/11 - Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

Mark Henry comes out on a crutch and cuts promo saying he will fight through his leg injury. Big Show comes out. H tells Henry that what he just did to him, Henry did to Show. Henry called Show the world's largest loser. Show laid out Henry with KO punch. Daniel Bryan came out and cashed in MITB. We have a new champion. Not so fast. Teddy Long comes out and says Henry was not cleared to compete. He takes Title off of Bryan and gives it back to Henry. This set up a Fatal 4 Way for the Number one contendership. The winner faces Henry for Title next week, then winner of that match faces Big Show.

    Hunico beat Justin Gabriel.

Zack Ryder was backstage playing the WWE '12 video game. Sheamus comes in. Comedy ensues. They are tagging tonight vs. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. Now Long is on the screen and getting heavy boos. Henry comes in and is pissed about defending next week. Funny stuff from both. Long makes it a steel cage match for title next week.

Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus and Zach Ryder. It was a long match and really good. The crowd was hot. Ryder won with The Rough Ryder on Ziggler.

Backstage, AJ is pissed at Daniel Bryan for leaving her out there while Beth and Natty attacked her. Wade Barrett comes and tries to intimidate Bryan.

Ted DiBiase vs. Heath Slater. At the bell, Jinder Mahal pops up on screen speaking a foreign language. He is talking to DiBiase. He self translates saying that Ted turned his back on his wealthy family. The match begins while he's talking. The crowd is not into this match at all. It's almost as if we haven't been given a reason to care about either of these two in years. It's a shame, they are working their asses off. Decent match. Ted DiBiase goes over clean.

Cody Rhodes cuts promo backstage. He talks about throwing water at an announcer. Then says he's gonna win the 4-way.

The Fatal 4-way is up next. Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Cody Rhodes. Daniel Bryan wins when Cody taps. Cody did a post match beatdown on Bryan until Orton made the save.
