Vikings owner Zygi Wilf was giddy after the game, greeting almost every player as they entered the locker room and shouting "Great heart!" over and over again. Wilf sure didn't seem like an owner intent on firing his head coach. But coach Brad Childress said he has been given no assurances that his job is secure for the rest of the season. Asked if needed or wanted that assurance, Childress said: "I’m not going to sit here like Brett Favre and tell you I need compassion, I need a hug. I’m alright." The answer was a reference to something Favre said last week when asked if Childress is a compassionate coach.
