Some simple things we ask of you here in our start sit question and answer forum.

  1. Do not list your entire roster and ask us who to start or sit. We can’t help you if you don’t first help yourself. Please limit the question to one or two positions.
  2. Ask your start sit question in this format: Player name, opponent and point configuration. An example: Should I start Aaron Rogers versus the Bears or Brady versus Detroit? Standard scoring. Another Example: Should I start Welker versus Baltimore or Fitz versus Seattle? PPR scoring. Try to keep the start sit question clear and to the point. It also helps to list your players opponent and your scoring format.
  3. Start or sit questions and answers can be answered by anyone here so if you have the clear path to the correct answer please speak up and post your comment!

Hey guys I have wetbrook out. I started Bernard Scott, but now benson is playing. Would cadillac be a better choice against the falcons? I’m in a three way tie for first with one week left!

  2. Mark says:

    Gentlemen,

I overheard a commentator state that should Payton Manning get ahead in the next few games, that they would probably take him out of the game to rest him.

Should I be worried going into the playoffs, considering that I only have him as my quarter back?

I'm in an 8 man regular scoring league, currently 9-3, and would very much like to win the whole thing :)

Let me know waht you guys think, should I pick up another QB or let it ride?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

    Thanks!

  3. Peter says:

    which 2 WR's should I play out of: Burleson(vs SF), Maclin(@Atl), Hines(vs Oak), Manningham(vs Dal)

which RB should I play at flex: Grant(vs Bal) or Slaton(@Jac)

    • Ray04 says:

Burleson had a poor outing against SF earlier this year ( 4 for 46 ) and Manningham is still dealing with a bad shoulder ( the same one he injured earlier this year ) so I would go with Maclin who should see a lot of downfeild targets with all the focus probably being put on McCoy and Celek from ATL and Hines Ward should have a great game since he will be in make up mode.

  4. Top_Fantasy says:

I agree with Ray on the WR stuff.Try Slaton out in the flex.Kurt

  5. J D says:

    Vikes V. Ari
    Bengals V. Det
Everyones saying Vikes is the better pick what y'all think

Also what RB's should i play pick 2

    P. Thomas NO V. Was
    Ray Rice Bal V. GB
    Jamaal Charles KC V. Den
    Mike Bell NO V. Was
    Rock Cartwright Was V. NO

  6. Bill says:

I have the option to start 3wr's and 1 RB. Ray Rice is a must start and so are Vincent Jackson and Andre Johnson. So I must choose between Ryan Grant vs Bal and Sidney Rice vs Arz. 10 yrds=1pt and TD=6pt
    Thanks for the help

  7. Lance says:

standard scoring, gotta pick two WR's to start

    Ochocinco vs. DET
    Colston vs. WAS
    Sydney Rice vs. ARI

  8. Peter says:

Should I start K. Warner or Alex Smith?

    • Top_Fantasy says:

Smith is a sleeper and Warner is in a \”big game\” where is could do damage. I view Warner as high risk high reward and Smith as a safer bet with lower reward. I think I'd go with the upside and watch Warners status. Select his name in your user profile and we will send you updates as they are released by the AP.

  10. Bill says:

1 more thing to add I also Jonathan Stewart vs TB instead?

  11. Meyers says:

Just found out that Slaton is out this week with a previously undisclosed shoulder injury. I dropped Moats last week. Should I pick him back up? If he's unavailable, who should be my RB?
    Norwood vs. Philly
    Fitzgerald vs DET or
    Cartwright vs NO
    Standard scoring with PPR. Thanks!

    • Ray04 says:

Well, the Jags are pretty good against the run ( 10th ) and Houston should pass more since the Jags can't defend against the pass. Chris Brown is acutally the starter over Ryan Moats though. I don't know who your refereing to when you say Fitzgerald vs. DET either…could you be more specific?

If I had to choose from your list, Norwood is the best ya got here. he's not a great option, but he's better than Cartwright…hgope this helps! And get back to me about who you meant by Fitzgerald.

      • Meyers says:

So sorry – was looking at my opponent's roster and mine at same time. I have Larry Johnson as my other RB against DET this week. Better option than Norwood?

  12. DUKES says:

    Felix Jones or Chris Brown?

  13. Rook says:

    Standard scoring.
Jennings vs BAL or Mason vs GB?

  14. Ok guys, last week. three way tie for first, who should I start.
    Beanie vs Vikings
    Cadillac vs Panthers
    Thanks in advance!!!!!

  15. Mark says:

    Gentlemen,

Need some advice start sit advice for the playoffs, and since I will be away from a computer for a few days, I need to set my line up today…
im going up agains people with far better teams, so your help is appreciated!
    Manning – Vs DEN
    V. Young – Vs STL
    B. Wells (ARI) – Vs SF
    F. Jackson (BUF) – VS KC
    S. Greene (NYJ) – VS TB
    S. Slaton – VS SEA
Sims – Walker – VS MIA
    R.Wayne – VS DEN
    A.Collie – VS DEN
    S. Smith (CAR) – VS NE
    R. White – VS NO
    D. Keller – VS TB
    K. Winslow VS NYJ
    Regular scoring!

Maybe I can at least get 3rd place with some help lol!

    Again, thanks!!

    • Mark says:

Guys, trying to pick up Garcon, and Jonathan Stewart, dropping Collie, and S. Greene….

    • Ray04 says:

      Hey Mark,

Manning vs. Denver is far better than Young vs. the Rams since the Titans will undoubtedly run the ball first.

I like a healthy fred jackson along with Stewart if you can get him.

Sims-Walker and Collie ( with White as a thrid WR if you have a spot ) along with Winslow at TE vs. the Jets.

  16. Mark says:

Thanks for the help through out the season Ray04, and TOP!!

IF Manning get sat in week 15 (my league is only going to 15 for playoffs) would it be best to start say Flacco that week?

Not sure I will make it that far but if i do.

    Thank you again!

  17. Mark says:

    Guys,

Luckily I was able to jump on here really quickly, and I re read the QB piece by Tab…..

Would you guys really start Joe Flacco the next 2 weeks, over Payton Manning?

I have both of them currently, and I am in the playoffs my first time playing FF.

Should I bench Manning in favor of Flacco for the next 2 games of the season, and will he give me a btter chance of winning in the playoffs?

    Thanks

  18. Kate says:

eagles D vs giants or saints D vs falcons? I've played the saints the last 2 weeks and it turned out to be the wrong choice. thoughts?

  19. Mark says:

    Guys,

Picked up Flacco, the question is now….. start Flacco VS DET, or P. Manning VS DEN?

    Thanks.!

  20. Ray04 says:

Flacco against the crappy Lions coverage is better than Manning against the 5th ranked Broncos in my book.

  21. Mark says:

    WR's..

Who is the better start out of these guys…..Sims – Walker VS MIA, R. WHITE VS NO, Meachem VS ATL, or Reggie Wayne VS DEN?

    Need 3.

    Thanks again!

  22. Mark says:

Actuall, here is the real question….

    R. Wayne VS DEN, Garcon VS DEN, Sims-Walker VS MIA, Meachem VS ATL, or R. White VS NO?

    I need 3 please.

    Thanks!

  23. Lute4eva says:

    Standard scoring league:

Need one more RB to start along side MJD:
    Donald Brown vs. DEN
    Leonard Weaver vs. NYG
    Chester Taylor vs. CIN
    Jason Snelling vs. NOR

I also need to pick two WR's to start:

    Colston vs. ATL
    Sydney Rice vs CIN
    Ochocinco vs MIN

    Thanks for the help

  24. MMC says:

Need some advise for WR position….

    R. Meachem VS ATL
    R. Wayne VS DEN
    P. Garcon VS DEN
    Mike Sims-Walker
    or R. White VS NO

    I need 3.

    Thanks.

  25. John says:

I need a win to make the playoffs. It is a point per reception league. 1 pt for 10 yds rushing. My RB situation is this. I had Slaton, he is out. I am starting T. Jones, but my choices at the other running back are: J. Jones vs. Hou, Rock Cartright vs Oakland. Two people I thought about picking up are: J. Harrison vs Pitt or Chris Brown or Ryan Moats vs Seattle. Quintin Ganther vs Oak, Sammy Morris vs Car, Norwood vs NO are also available. Other than that, there isn't much to choose from. Please help.

    • Ray04 says:

This is a deifficult one. The one thing for sure is Ganther…he is an absolute must.

Norwood admitted he is not 100%
Jones will split carries with Forsett going forward limiting his output
The Pats don't use their running game effectively enough to produce points
Harrison against Pittsburgh could be an option but in the end I would go with Chris Brown as your other starter.

  26. tygr20 says:

Round 1 of the playoffs in both leagues.

Schaub v SEA or Brady v CAR? Applies to both leagues.

McCoy @NYG or Charles v BUF?

Ocho @ MIN or Austin v SD?

    • Top_Fantasy says:

Schaub v SEA – heck ya – SEA is ranked about 24th against the pass
Charles v BUF is sweet indeed.. Buffalo like to keep the games close they protect the pass.. not the run.
Ocho @ MIN is sweet but keep an eye on his heel.. he should be fine though..
      Good luck man

  27. Scott Burneson says:

Alright guys, Playoff time!! I'm felling the wrath of Westbrook. Here's who I have………
    Beannie vs. 49ers
    Caddilac vs. Jets
    Fargas vs. Redskins
Is Ganther worth picking up? If not who would you start?
    Thanks as always!!

    • tygr20 says:

Ganther will be the feature back for the Skins against a poor Oakland Run D. I like him at least in this spot. After that- I'd lean to Caddy, TB needs to get back to a strong running attack if they want to win more games.

  28. MMC says:

RB question – Wells VS SF, Brandon Jacobs VS PHI, or J. Stewart (CAR) VS NE

Flex – R. Wayne, P. Garcon, or perhaps one of the RB's I have mentioned above. That is, if MSW doesn't play this Sunday.

    Regular scoring.

  29. Rook says:

Standard League – need 2 RBs Weaver vs NYG, Ganther vs OAK, Forte vs GB and Morris vs CAR; planned to go with Ganther and Weaver but wanted your insight.

Need 2 more to go with Mason vs DET at WR. Jennings vs CHI, Marshall vs IN or Maclin vs NYG. Of the 3, who would you bench?

    • Ray04 says:

I think Weaver and Ganther are great starts. Mason vs. the Lions is far better than all the rest of your options.

      Good Luck this week man!

  30. Meyers says:

Playoffs! Need to decide between Schaub vs SEA or Flacco vs DET. Flacco has been disappointing in recent weeks but a great match-up and Schaub is coming off an injury, but more consistent this season. Any advice? Standard scoring. Thanks!

    • Ray04 says:

Schaub for sure since he has more quality targets to choose from than Flacco does giving you a better chance for scores in a Standard league, plus Seattle is horrible against the pass.

  31. Boiler says:

should I start Matt Schaub vs. Seattle or David Garrad vs. Miami? Should I start Jamaal Charles vs.Buf or Adrian Peterson vs. Cin.? Standard Scoring

    • Ray04 says:

Schaub is a much better start than the erratic Garrad who proboly will be without Mike Sims-Walker.

Peterson is a no brainer especially over Jamal Charles.

  32. Peter says:

Flex position: should L play Grant (@ Pitt) or pick up Mo Morris (vs ARI) or Harris/Jennings (@KC) off the waiver wire?

    • Peter says:

      or pick up Arian Foster?

      • kurt says:

Man I'm seriously considering starting Arian Foster over Mendenhall this week. If he is on your roster I think he is the best bet out of all your backs this week.

        • Peter says:

I have Mendenhall AND Grant. I picked up Foster so I'm thinking about starting him in place of one of those 2 but now I'm not sure which one!

  33. J D says:

    PPR League
    Please choose 2 RB's, 2 WR's, and 1 Flex
Ray Rice, Bal RB V. Chi
Jamaal Charles, KC RB V. Cle
    P. Thomas, NO RB V. Dal
Mike Bell, NO RB V. Dal
Sidney Rice, Min WR V. Car
Randy Moss, NE WR V. Buf'
Calvin Johnson, Det WR V. Ari
Hines Ward, Pit WR V. GB

Is Randy Moss going to have 0 points again?

  34. J D says:

What Kicker is the best choice??? G Hartley NO V. Dal or Matt Stover Ind V. Jac?

  35. hitdaskins says:

    Start Sit Advice.

Do I pick up Josh Cribbs vs. Buffalo or TJ Houshmanzadeh vs. Tampa Bay. Points for after 5 catches, over 100 yards, and TDs

  36. James says:

    PPR league
    Have to start 2.
Bowe vs. Cleveland, T.O. vs New England, Steve Smith Carolina vs. Minn, Roy Williams vs. New Orleans

Im in the playoffs and with the Bowe suspension over this decision is so much harder to make.

    Thank you

    • Top_Fantasy says:

      Roy Williams vs. New Orleans
      Steve Smith Carolina vs. Minn

Bowe is a great start over Roy and Smith but keep your eye on him and his news status after practices.. add him to your dominator configuration

  37. J D says:

You guys said i should play
    Start
Ray Rice, Bal RB V. Chi
Jamaal Charles, KC RB V. Cle
Randy Moss, NE WR V. Buf'
Calvin Johnson, Det WR V. Ari
    Flex
    P. Thomas, NO RB V. Dal

I just picked up Arian Foster Hou RB V. StL… Should i still play my current the above roster???

  38. Dave W says:

    PPR League
In the finals, please choose 2 WRs & 1 Flex

Randy Moss, NE WR @ Buf
Miles Austin, Dal WR @ NO
Derrick Mason, Bal WR vs Chi
Robbert Meachem, NO WR vs Dal
Hines Ward, Pit WR vs GB
Beanie Wells, Ari RB @ Det
Arian Foster, Hou RB @ Stl

  39. DUKES says:

Josh Cribbs, Kenny Britt, or Michael Crabtree?

Everyone seems to think Cribbs is getting a shot at RB this week…hmmm….

  40. Meyers says:

With Bowe's suspension over, I'm having a difficult time deciding my WR this week. Standard scoring w/ bonus,1 pt per 3 receptions; My no brainer is Marshall vs OAK, then I have:
    Jennings vs PIT
    Mason vs CHI and
    Bowe vs CLE.
Which 2 would you add to Marshall?
    Thanks!

    • Ray04 says:

Mason is a great start as well as Bowe against Cleveland. jennings has been a bit dissapointing this year , and is dealing with some minor injuries that seem to have slowed him down.

  41. Brandon says:

Hey guys need some help. Playing for the money. I am in a league where TD’s are big time. RB and WR get points for going over 100 yards, and WR only get 1 point per reception over 5.

I need to start 2 of these RB’s
    Pierre Thomas vs. TB
    Fred Jackson vs. ATL
    Ryan Grant vs. SEA

I need to start 3 of these WR
    Dallas Clark vs. NYJ
    Randy Moss vs. JAX
    Roddy White vs. BUF
    TJ Houshmenzadeh vs. GB

Please everyones help is greatly appreciated and much needed.

  42. Commish says:

Do I start Ricky Williams home against HOU, Jones Drew at New England, Ahmad Bradshaw vs Carolina or Snelling vs Buffalo? I need three, Standard scoring (non ppr). Thanks fellas.

  43. Ray04 says:

Colston and Rice over a warm Garlic Sauce :)

Save Ochocinco for another rainy day…especially since he was dealing with a mysterious knee injury this week that nobody seems to know much about.
