2) Chris Johnson (TEN): Johnson continues to show growth in the running-game and passing-game, making him a legitimate weapon on offense. 64 touches, 457 total yards and 3 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Jacksonville

3) Maurice Jones-Drew (JAC): Irreplaceable in the Jaguars offense, and one of the most talented RB’s in the league. 70 touches, 353 total yards and 4 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Tennessee

4) Matt Forte (CHI): Forte has been having trouble early in the season, but a bounce back campaign is on the horizon this week. 70 touches, 223 total yards and 0 TD’s - Opponent Week 4: Detroit

5) Cedric Benson (CIN): Benson is having no trouble finding a rythm in the Bengals offense, he is becoming more consistent than expected after the bust label was applied in Chicago. 71 touches, 330 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Cleveland

6) Brandon Jacobs (NYG): Jacobs has always been a machine behind the Giants offensive-line, he is the feature back that will steal any carries near the goal-line. 60 touches, 213 total yards and 1 TD – Opponent Week 4: Kansas City

7) Ronnie Brown (MIA): Brown continues to let the offense flow through him, he is currently back on pace to regain his elite RB status back in the ’09 season. 58 touches, 304 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Buffalo

8) Steven Jackson (STL): Jackson continues to be the only threat on the Rams roster, he needs to be the catalyst that drives the Rams offense week in and week out. 69 touches, 349 total yards and 0 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: San Francisco

9) Steve Slaton (HOU): A mystery in the early stages of the year, it shouldn’t take long for Slaton to become a big factor in Houston’s plans going forward. 47 touches, 224 total yards and 0 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Oakland

10) Marion Barber (DAL):He was nicked up and missed week 3, he should be fine for week 4 (check status!) and drive the backfield for the Dallas Cowboys the rest of the way. 34 touches, 234 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Denver

11) Darren McFadden (OAK): So much talent, but where is the payoff? McFadden needs to have his breakout performance soon, owners are becoming weary of his starts. 47 touches, 196 total yards and 1 TD – Opponent Week 4: Houston

12) Willis McGahee (BAL): Baltimore’s offensive seems to have been possessed, McGahee is making a statement for comeback fantasy player of the year award early in the season. 38 touches, 231 total yards and 6 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: New England

13) Fred Jackson (BUF): Jackson should continue to start until Lynch gets back into game form, he has touched the football more than any other RB and should continue to produce in a time-share. 76 touches, 425 total yards and 1 TD – Opponent Week 4: Miami

14) Joseph Addai (IND):Addai is now splitting half his workload and it’s becoming very hard to predict his offensive output week to week, he has a really good sidekick that is constantly pushing for touches. 45 touches, 187 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Seattle

15) Ryan Grant (GB): Grant continues to be heavily utilised in the Packers ground attack, he should continue to be the focus of the ground-game with no real threat behind him. 61 touches, 239 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Minnesota

16) Pierre Thomas (NO): New Orleans mystery man is now back in business after starting the second half in week 3, Thomas is making a case for the feature role (yet again) in New Orleans backfield after being sidelined by injury. 15 touches, 122 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: New York Jets

126 second half rushing yards combined with 2 TD's, is just a taste of this RB's potential.

18) Darren Sproles (SD): Since Tomlinson has been on the sidelines Sproles has been getting his chances for big-time production, although he hasn’t made the most of his opportunity running out of the backfield, he is a PPR machine. 51 touches, 271 total yards and 2 TD’s – Opponent Week 4: Pittsburgh

19) Knowshon Moreno (DEN): Last weeks 20 touch performance gives fantasy owners more to look forward to the rest of the way through the season. 48 touches, 206 total yards and 1 TD – Opponent Week 4: Dallas

  1. What are your thoughts on this RB situation. Gotta start 2 out of 5. Wondering if your rankings above may be different because it's a Points-Per-Reception league. I've got Slaton, Ray Rice, Willis McGahee, Clinton Portis, and Tashard Choice. I'm leaning towards Slaton and Choice based on the latest news of Barber playing but not having a significant role. Thinking Choice could get some targets out of the backfield, but struggling to bench McGahee.
