The Earl Bennett and Jay Cutler Show
Did you know we offer a Cheat Sheet Calculator? It's an interactive tool that allows you to create fantasy football cheat sheets and rankings (based on your league settings) on the fly for your various fantasy football leagues.
Earl Bennett WR Chicago Bears

With his college QB Jay Cutler in town, Earl Bennett could be the next star receiver in Chicago.
Reports have Earl Bennett lining up in two-receiver sets as the flanker and moving to the slot in three-wideout formations. I’m glad to see Bennett getting practice with slot duties, it’s a good sign for Bennett in points per reception leagues and reinforces the thoughts that the bear see Bennett as a every down type receiver. Anytime the staff it doing there best to find ways to move a player around is a very good sign for that player, especially his fantasy football stats.
In case you didn’t watch Cutler and Bennett at Vanderbilt here is what you can expect..
Bennett was the SEC’s career leader in receptions (236) with only three years at Vanderbilt, sounds like Cutler loved Bennett liked he loved Marshall. Back when the NFL Draft was going on scouts tagged Bennett with having great instincts and secure hands. Sometimes things never change, according to the Chicago Sun Times Earl Bennett has “caught everything in sight” to this point.
Forte is still the focal point of the offense and Bennett is a rookie but he is still worth a late round flyer and could end up posting second tier WR numbers.
Update: 9/2/09 – All systems go on Bennett as a true blue sleeper. Grab him now and give him about 4 or 5 weeks to sync up with Cutler. Or get updates via our tool when he really starts to shine!
