  1. 6 Points per Touch Down – Rushing and Receiving

I was amazed at how high the QB position ranked this year. Everyone has been writing about how the NFL, each year, progresses further into a pass first high scoring league, take note in this years draft. It’s not your dad’s 2001 draft rules. QB’s are now just as important as RB’s, but then again this has been trending upward the past few years. Look at how the TE position has exploded. Offensive Coordinators are finding more and more ways to move the ball through the air and your fantasy football QB’s are benefiting from it.

ATTENTION – this isn’t a recommended draft order friends – this is the top 100 fantasy football players based on projected fantasy points – obviously the top 100 is based on projected point values – Your draft order is dependent on may factors such as your leagues scoring system, ADP, value picks in the later rounds, the drafting trends during the draft, and as one commenter pointed out, the position scarcity model. We’ll cover the position scarcity model in a later article. While I believe position scarcity is important to understand it alone is not the standard by which I draft my team. As a matter of fact in my mock drafts, using various drafting theories and models, no single theory or model out produces the other enough to justify paying an overwhelming amount of attention it, you simply must be aware. The top 100 producers listed below you indeed must be aware of, enjoy.

How is looking at absolute point values helpful exactly? I should take Josh Freeman before Dallas Clark or Anquan Boldin? Do you guys understand position scarcity at all? The projected point difference between between the number 1 and number 12 QBs is 81 points; for RBs it is 113 points, and you have to start 2-3 RBs but only 1 QB. This article is more harmful than it is helpful.

Craig, prior to reading this post did you have any clue what the projected point value is for xyz player, well at least what my projected points are? If you didn’t, then this article is helpful and can help you work through your position scarcity model. I’m glad that you’re aware of position scarcity however the model is heavily based on your league settings.. On the 20th of this month we will be releasing our position scarcity model as an online application you can run. I know it’s late in the draft season but scripting the math is more tedious than expected. I appreciate your question and hope you can find some more of our opinion based articles more appealing.

I’m glad to see that you will factor in position scarcity at some point, but I think you should make it clear what this article is. The title is “Top 100 Fantasy Football RANKINGS – Non PPR,” which suggests that this is your draft board in a standard league. Your explanation also suggests that tons of QBs are at the top of your rankings, which might lead less experienced owners to think that the first round should be nothing but quarterbacks. These are point projections, not rankings.

I updated the article to better clarify what’s going on for those in need of clarification. Hope to see you pointing out things again here at knuckleheads in the future.
