Week 15 IDP Rankings- LB: Start Ray Lewis and Jerod Mayo

Hopefully you survived the first week of your fantasy playoffs and are moving on this week. If you did and you own either Ray Lewis or Jerod Mayo then make sure to start them this week. They currently rank 5th and 10th in our Week 15 LB Rankings.

It looks like Lewis is finally going to be able to come back this week. He has a primetime game on National TV against a team that allows the 3rd most points per game to LBs. Expect Ray-Ray to come back in a big way just in time to help your playoff team.

Jerod Mayo is also a must start. He is rounding back into form after early season injuries and he now has 16 tackles, three passes defensed and two interceptions in the past two games. Combine this with his matchup against the run-heavy Broncos and he could be in for a nice game.

  1. need some advice, which two should I start this week: Pat Angerer, Derrick Johnson, James Anderson, Colin McCarthy, or Jason McCourty

    • Tom Digliani

Tough call. First guy I’d rule out is McCourty. He is coming back from injury and there is no need to push him against the lowly Colts. Colts are also middle of the pack in pts allowed to LBs.

Next I’d rule out Angerer. He has been hobbled and the Titans give up the 2nd fewest pts to fantasy LB.

James Anderson is not as high in my rankings, but he is playing a Texans team that is running a lot and gives up top-15 pts to LBs. I’d start him.

That leaves the last spot between Derrick Johnson and Colin McCarthy.

The Colts give up the fewest pts in the league to LBs so that sucks for McCarthy, but DJ is playing a Packers team that gives up the 3rd fewest pts to LBs. Tough call.

My gut says you play two of Anderson, Johnson and McCarthy.

      It is a toss up.

I’d probably go with Johnson and Anderson but I cannot fault you with whatever you decide.

  2. thanks yea those were the two i was leaning towards….johnson has been consistent every week of putting up at least 10 points and anderson is coming off a 30 point game and houston runs so much
