Jadaveon Clowney.... DE out of South Carolina... Is compared by most to be the best DE and prospect in the 2014 draft. How is it then that teams such as Houston, St Louis and Jacksonville not draft him.. Even though he provided a 4.35 second 40 yard dash, 37.5 inch vertical and 124 inch long jump some are wondering about his work ethic. Is it rather lazy? Is he just doing enough to get him by? Putting Clowney with Watt in Houston would provide a ferocious Dline for opposing QBs. St Louis would also benefit there line pairing him with Chris Long. Jacksonville just needs stars and studs period. How many of these teams are willing to risk there future on a high risk high reward player that could put a dent on there rebuilding. He has the ceiling to be the next Bruce Smith or Robert Mathis type player in the making, or he could be the next Vernon Gholston even though he is a LB. Even though there are multiple question marks, It would shock me if he fell out of the top five this year of Houston, St.Louis, Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Oakland. Cleveland is starting to show positives on there defense but they need a big time playmaker in a QB. Not resigning Ward and D'Qwell Jackson hurts the D, but they are the browns you never know what to think. Oakland is even worse when it comes to draft picks. Picking bust after bust and putting there future in a terrible place, they now under new management have begun to right the ship. Selecting Clowney to be in the silver and black could actually be a good fit for that team. Giving nightmares to QBs of Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, and Alex Smith would at least keep the Raiders competitive and within striking distance to win the game in the fourth quarter. Good Luck Clowney and GM's
