One day after adding Jorge Cantu from the Marlins, the Texas Rangers added another infielder when they acquired two-time All Star Cristian Guzman from the Washington Nationals on Friday.
Guzman was batting .282 with two homers and 25 RBIs this season in Washington, but will serve as a temporary replacement for Ian Kinsler in the Texas lineup. He could also see spot action in right field for the Rangers moving forward, and should be considered a waiver candidate in deep leagues.
