Fantasy Football Draft Strategies

The TLDR version goes like this, everyone else please see the articles below. Draft at least 3 running backs and 4 wide receivers before the draft is complete. Look for quarterbacks in the middle rounds then draft a tight end after you have RB, WR and QB spoken for. With your first pick a general rule of thumb that works in most leagues is to draft one of the top-5 running backs followed by one of the top-5 wide receivers. Obviously I recommend using our cheat sheets.

You MUST have a cheat sheet customized to your league settings. When you're on the clock you can't waste time fumbling for information to help guide you toward the right pick. Our cheat sheets have all the important information in a single row. I developed our cheat sheets for myself and use it to this day.

Knowledge is power and preparation is key. The articles below will help new comers and vets get one step closer to that league championship.

Without being prepared, drafting a solid fantasy football team is extremely difficult. Many factors come into play during a live fantasy football draft. Have you ordered successfully, with guaranteed instant satisfaction? (See: Alshon Jeffery). Or have you made a classic blunder and now […]

2014 Dynasty Fantasy Football: Two Round Rookie Draft

July 1, 2014 by Greg Brosh

While many owners have been laying back and keeping track of player news in OTA’s until their real draft comes up, Dynasty Fantasy Football owners have been preparing for this season since February. And with that preparation, comes the rookie-only drafts. I’ve been in a Dynasty League for several years now. And every year around […]

2014 Fantasy Football: QB Rankings & Draft Strategy Part 2

June 29, 2014 by Phil Clark

To me, football is so much about mental toughness, it’s digging deep, it’s doing whatever you need to do to help a team win and that comes in a lot of shapes and forms. Tom Brady Fantasy owners don’t have to make quick and accurate decisions while opposing linemen are bearing down upon them with […]

Drafting A High-Value Quarterback and Running Back in 2014

June 18, 2014 by Chris Maurice

Every year I get asked when the best time to draft a quarterback is. Fantasy owners want a good quarterback, but often they don’t want to spend a first, second, or third round pick necessary to grab Peyton Manning or Drew Brees off the board. It is possible to get a good, reliable quarterback in […]
