The Best Waiver Wire Picks

The waiver wire is literally the single most powerful tool you can use to dominate your league. When hitting the waiver wire your goal is simple, replace your slackers with starters. You'll be temped to hold onto your draft picks because of the investment you made. Resist the urge to hold on to dead weight. Each season we see guys rise and fall. Drop the players that are failing and pick up the guys that are rising, it's that simple.

Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the most critical! During the opening weeks you'll see wide receiver battles flesh themselves out, typically at the WR2 position or slot. Running back platoons (RBBC) may change as one runner rises above the rest enough to warrant a starting position on your team. Tight ends that no one saw coming put together several strong games and become solid depth or trade bait. Lastly, quarterbacks and team defenses can be streamed. We publish the best waiver wire picks every week, see below for our most recent picks.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Running Backs

December 10, 2013 by Greg Brosh

With the Week 15 Waiver Wire Running Backs now up, the big news of this week is the status of Vikings RB Adrian Peterson. I had Peterson in one playoff league Sunday. Luckily I won “despite” him, but it’s not going to be easy if he is out or less than 100% going into Week […]

Week 15 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks

December 10, 2013 by Greg Brosh

They might be a little late this week thanks to that wonderful illness called the flu, but I have come back (albeit less than 100%) to bring you the Week 15 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks. As usual with quarterbacks, there is really not many options to look at who’d you ever consider starting over a Drew […]

Week 14 Team Defense Waiver Wire Pickups

December 3, 2013 by Phil Clark

An enormous percentage of your focus each week is involved with decisions about QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs. That makes the amount of planning that you dedicate to team defenses far less extensive. While that is understandable, it still behooves you to maximize your chances of winning by examining all of your existing options. Particularly since our fantasy seasons have now […]

Week 14 Waiver Wire Tight Ends

December 2, 2013 by Greg Brosh

There is really only one tight end worth mentioning in this week’s Week 14 Waiver Wire Tight Ends article. I know some will wonder why I don’t list Eagles TE Zach Ertz after he caught 2 touchdowns against the Cardinals. But the one thing you have to look at when listing any players is consistency. […]

Week 14 Waiver Wire Wide Receivers

December 2, 2013 by Greg Brosh

Wide receivers are a fickle group, especially on the waiver wire. That’s why choosing which players to pick up in this week’s Week 14 Waiver Wire Wide Receivers article is really hard to list. A receiver who has done nothing his entire career puts up a huge game, but then is never heard from again. […]
