As the season winds down, the Week 12 Waiver Wire Wide Receivers article is shrinking mightily. There just aren’t enough good pickups like there were in the beginning of the season. I will give credit where credit is due, however. I wasn’t high on Week 11 wonder Rishard Matthews going into the Dolphins’ game against […]
The Best Waiver Wire Picks
The waiver wire is literally the single most powerful tool you can use to dominate your league. When hitting the waiver wire your goal is simple, replace your slackers with starters. You'll be temped to hold onto your draft picks because of the investment you made. Resist the urge to hold on to dead weight. Each season we see guys rise and fall. Drop the players that are failing and pick up the guys that are rising, it's that simple.
Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the most critical! During the opening weeks you'll see wide receiver battles flesh themselves out, typically at the WR2 position or slot. Running back platoons (RBBC) may change as one runner rises above the rest enough to warrant a starting position on your team. Tight ends that no one saw coming put together several strong games and become solid depth or trade bait. Lastly, quarterbacks and team defenses can be streamed. We publish the best waiver wire picks every week, see below for our most recent picks.
Week 12 Waiver Wire Running Backs, Bobby Rainey Leads The Pack
If it wasn’t for the Buccaneers and their decimated backfield, the Week 12 Waiver Wire Running Backs article wouldn’t be as juicy as it normally would. With Doug Martin down, Mike James made for a solid replacement. With James now gone, owners had their choice of Brian Leonard or Bobby Rainey. Hopefully you chose right. […]
Week 12 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks, Matt McGloin Benched Terrelle Pryor?
In this week’s Week 12 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks article, you don’t have very many options left to choose from. None of these players are truly starter worthy. Yes they will help you with depth or are decent options if you can start two quarterbacks. But with the fantasy football playoffs only a few weeks away, […]
Mike James Injury: Is The Buccaneers Backfield Waiver Wire Worthy?
Usually on Tuesdays, I give one of my waiver wire pickups their own article and provide a little bit more insight as to why that player is worth your time and attention. With the Buccaneers losing yet another running back after Mike James suffered a fractured left ankle against the Dolphins Monday night, I’d like […]
Week 11 Team Defense Waiver Wire Pickups
An enormous percentage of your focus each week is involved with decisions about RBs, WRs, TEs, and signal callers. That makes the amount of planning that you dedicate to team defenses far less extensive. While that is understandable, it still behooves you to maximize your chances of winning by examining all of your existing options. We have now progressed sufficiently into […]
